Environment

Beyond Recoverable Limits: The Environmental Wellbeing Index

The Environmental Wellbeing Index is meant to sit alongside GDP and HDI on the table where decisions get made — a shared reference for how much pressure the planet can still absorb, and who is doing the work of recovery. The Global Wellbeing Forum is convening scientists, statistical agencies, and civil society now to shape its first methodology cycle.

Social

Measuring AI's Social Impact on Human Wellbeing: A Cross-Income Methodology

The AI Impact on Human Wellbeing Index — Social Dimension (a Global Wellbeing Forum initiative) evaluates the net social effect of AI adoption across every nation, disaggregated by high-, middle-, and low-income country groups. Rather than treating "AI and society" as one uniform story, the methodology blends research-based quantitative analysis (surveys, national statistics, academic studies) with grassroots qualitative research (community interviews, civil society partnerships, local social scientists) to capture both what the data shows and what it misses. The result is a transparent, income-tier-adjusted scorecard showing where AI is strengthening social bonds, trust, and participation — and where it's eroding them.

Governance

Global Wellbeing Index: The True Measure of Governance Impact on Citizens

Global Wellbeing Index (GWI) is a new composite index being launched by the Global Wellbeing Forum to measure how much governance — through environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance — actually improves citizens' lives, rather than just measuring policy compliance or institutional disclosure the way most existing ESG ratings do.
