Global Wellbeing Forum

Our strategy

Global Wellbeing Forum's strategy is built directly on the literal meaning of wellbeing: the state of existing well. Rather than choosing one cause and calling it "wellbeing," we designed a strategy that addresses the full picture — because that is what genuine wellbeing requires.

Our Theory of Change

We believe that wellbeing improves when three things happen together:

  1. Awareness — people and institutions understand wellbeing as a complete, multi-dimensional state, not a single issue

  2. Access — practical resources, programs, and support reach the communities that need them most

  3. Accountability — progress is measured, reported, and improved continuously, rather than assumed

Our strategy is designed to move all three forward at once, rather than treating them as separate phases.

Strategic Priorities

1. Global Convening

We bring together individuals, grassroots organizations, researchers, and institutions in a shared forum to exchange knowledge, align efforts, and avoid duplicated work across the wellbeing space.

2. Community-Rooted Programs

Every initiative we support is designed with — not just for — the communities it serves. Local context determines which of the seven pillars of wellbeing needs the most urgent attention in a given region.

3. Policy & Advocacy

We advocate for wellbeing to be recognized formally — by governments, institutions, and organizations — as a foundational right, not an optional benefit.

4. Measurement & Transparency

We are building tools and partnerships to track wellbeing progress across our seven pillars, so that our work — and the broader global effort — can be evaluated honestly and improved over time.

5. Capacity Building

We invest in local leaders and organizations, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to sustain wellbeing efforts long after our direct involvement ends.

Our Approach to the Seven Pillars

Our strategy doesn't treat the seven pillars of wellbeing (physical, mental/emotional, social, economic, environmental, purpose, and community) as separate departments. Instead, every program is evaluated for its impact across pillars — because in reality, they are never truly separate. A program addressing economic wellbeing, for instance, is also assessed for its effects on mental and social wellbeing.

Timeframe & Scale

As a global forum headquartered in Noida, India, we are building our strategy in phases:

  • Foundational phase — establishing the forum, our core partnerships, and initial community programs

  • Expansion phase — scaling proven programs to new regions and deepening cross-pillar impact

  • Institutional phase — embedding wellbeing frameworks into policy, education, and public systems globally

How You Can Engage With Our Strategy

We welcome partners, researchers, community organizations, and individuals who share our belief that wellbeing must be addressed holistically. Our strategy is a living framework — one we intend to refine as we learn from the communities we work alongside.
