Global Wellbeing Forum

How we work

Global Wellbeing Forum operates as exactly what our name describes: a forum — a convening space where people, communities, and institutions come together to advance wellbeing collectively, rather than a single organization working in isolation.

Our Operating Principles

1. We Start With Listening

Before designing or supporting any program, we engage directly with the communities involved to understand which dimensions of wellbeing — physical, mental, social, economic, environmental, purpose, or community — need attention most urgently in their specific context.

2. We Work Across Pillars, Not in Silos

Because real wellbeing is interconnected, our teams and partners are encouraged to look at the ripple effects of every initiative across all seven pillars, rather than measuring success on a single narrow metric.

3. We Partner, Rather Than Impose

We collaborate with local organizations, researchers, healthcare providers, educators, and civic institutions already rooted in the communities we serve. Our role is to convene, support, and amplify — not to dictate solutions from outside.

4. We Measure What Matters

Every program we support is expected to track meaningful outcomes — not just activity. We are continuously developing better tools to measure wellbeing across its many dimensions, and we share what we learn openly.

5. We Build for Sustainability

Our goal in every community is to strengthen local capacity so that progress continues independently of our direct involvement — through trained local leaders, embedded institutional practices, and lasting partnerships.

Our Working Structure

  • Global Forum & Convenings — regular gatherings (in-person and virtual) that bring together our network of partners, researchers, and community leaders to share knowledge and coordinate action

  • Community Programs — locally designed initiatives addressing specific wellbeing gaps, supported through funding, technical assistance, or partnership

  • Research & Measurement — ongoing work to track wellbeing outcomes and refine our understanding of what actually improves people's lives

  • Advocacy & Policy Engagement — direct engagement with institutions and governments to embed wellbeing into formal policy frameworks

Where We Operate

Headquartered in Noida, India, we work with a global outlook — building partnerships and supporting programs across regions, guided by local needs rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

Transparency in Our Process

We are committed to operating openly. Our decision-making, program outcomes, and use of resources are documented and made available to our partners, supporters, and the communities we serve, in line with the policies outlined on our Policies, Terms & Codes page.
