Who we are

Global Wellbeing Forum is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Noida, India, founded on a simple but powerful idea: wellbeing, in its truest and most literal sense, means the state of existing well — not just surviving, but thriving.
We were founded by Akhilesh Kant Verma, who saw the need for an organization that treats wellbeing not as an abstract wellness trend, but as a complete, measurable, and universal human right — one that belongs to every person, regardless of income, geography, or circumstance.
Our Founding Belief
The word itself tells us everything we need to know. Well + being. To be well, in the fullest sense.
We believe in the idea of a global village — one family. In the words of the ancient Indian philosophy, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — "the world is one family." It is this conviction that shapes our work: that the boundaries of nation, sector and ideology are secondary to our shared stake in one planet and one future.
That single idea — taken literally and seriously — is the foundation of everything we do. We didn't want to build an organization around a narrow slice of wellbeing (just mental health, or just poverty, or just the environment). We built it around the whole picture, because that is what the word actually means.
The Seven Pillars of Wellbeing We Work Across
Physical Wellbeing — access to health, nutrition, rest, and safety from illness
Mental & Emotional Wellbeing — psychological resilience and access to support
Social Wellbeing — belonging, connection, and healthy relationships within communities
Economic Wellbeing — financial security and freedom from the fear of scarcity
Environmental Wellbeing — safe, clean, sustainable living conditions
Purpose & Meaning — a sense of direction, values, and contribution
Community & Civic Wellbeing — trust, fairness, and participation in shared societal life
We believe true wellbeing exists only when these dimensions work together — not in isolation.
Where We're Based, Who We Serve
Though headquartered in Noida, India, our work and our mission are global in scope. We were built as a forum — a shared space for communities, researchers, institutions, and individuals from around the world to come together and advance wellbeing collectively.
Our Mission
To build a global forum where individuals, communities, and institutions come together to advance wellbeing in its complete, literal sense — for every person on the planet.
Our Vision
A world where "wellbeing" is not a privilege, but a lived reality — where every human being has the conditions to not just exist, but to exist well.
