Shiksha Orbit Connect

School, Offline, Sultanpur, U.P., India

Today’s students grow up with more information, pressure and screen time than any generation before them. Schools prepare them well for exams, but many of the skills that matter most for a good life are left to chance: understanding their emotions, resting well, handling setbacks, building real friendships, and finding a sense of purpose. Shiksha Orbit Connect is an offline initiative by the Global Wellbeing Forum that brings this conversation directly into schools. Each session puts the student at the centre and explores the different areas of wellbeing that circle around everyday life, including breath and stillness, understanding emotions, sleep and rest, screen balance, friendship and belonging, purpose and meaning, connection with nature, and resilience. Sessions are interactive rather than lecture-based. Students reflect, share, ask questions and look honestly at how they are doing, guided by open conversation instead of right or wrong answers. The goal is not to add another subject to the timetable, but to help young people recognise wellbeing as something inherent to being human, which they can understand, practise and carry with them beyond the classroom. Through Shiksha Orbit Connect, the Global Wellbeing Forum aims to work with schools, educators and parents to make wellbeing part of how the next generation learns and grows.
